Planning Appications

Parish Councils are statutory consultees in the planning process, the Parish Council can only comment on planning applications within the parish, or for which they are consulted on, in the same was as any other member of the public, however, any comments by the Parish Council must be agreed during a public full council meeting, or following the planning policy.

Members of the public can attend any Parish Council meeting and speak in the public speaking section, residents views will be taken into consideration when Councillors make their decision.

However, the Parish Council is just one consultee, if as a member of the public you wish to comment on a planning application, please do so directly with the planning authority on the links below for current planning applications:

If you wish to object to a planning application, to be valid, it should be objected based upon material planning considerations, relevant to the application or breach of planning policy.

  • Central government policy and guidance (National Planning Policy Framework,

  • Planning Practice Guidance)
